Crown’s & Bridges Back

Crowns are made to cover the top, back, front, and two sides of a tooth in order to prevent it from shattering. Precious, semiprecious, and nonprecious metal, porcelain fused to metal, porcelain alumina, porcelain zirconia, silicate porcelain, plastic, or all-feldspathic porcelain may all be used to create crowns. In order to make up for the thickness of the crown, tooth structure is removed. The more teeth removed, the thicker the crown. The crown will be around the same size as the original tooth in this manner.

Missing teeth may be replaced with a permanent bridge. It is made up of one or more artificial teeth affixed to the teeth next to the gap. As a result, each side of the gap needs at least one tooth. It is distinguished by the materials used, the design, and the quantity of teeth involved.
